ROCK'n B GUIDE SERVICE
Established in 2024, after many decades of duck hunting together, we decided to fulfill our long held dream of opening a guide service here in Southwest Louisiana, our home. We wanted to offer the experienced waterfowler and the novice, a chance to experience some great guided duck and goose hunting, be treated like family, and build great memories of your time with us.
Our farms are located in great waterfowl habitat in Southwest Louisiana , south of Jennings, near Lake Arthur and Klondike, with a mixture of rice, soybeans, and set aside fields. This combination holds the birds in our area for longer periods. For us, duck and goose hunting in Southwest Louisiana, Sportsman's Paradise, is a part of our heritage as Cajuns and we love to share it with our guests!
Our team takes pride in helping you and your group experience the best guided waterfowl hunting experience we can provide and making great memories. SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA
GUIDED TEAL HUNTS
Here at Rock'n B Guide Service we love our early September teal season! Teal are the experts in buzzing hunters! They're like ninjas with wings! They come in fast and low, in small and large groups, and usually give you little time to reload.
We love getting back out to the fields, knocking the rust off, enjoying the fast and furious action of those little rockets, and making new friends. Bring the mosquito spray, thermacells, cause the mosquitos can be bad. We hunt out of brushed A-frame blinds that your guide will have set up for you beforehand, so we're not sitting in the pits with all the mosquitos! Bring plenty of shells and your favorite shotgun and get ready for plenty of action.
When it comes to hunting waterfowl, teal provide the most excitement because of how well they decoy, they'll come out of nowhere, and they taste delicious! Join us on your next guided duck hunting trip to Louisiana.
SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA
DUCK & GOOSE SEASON
Our duck and goose hunting season in our zone in Southwest Louisiana starts around the 2nd weekend of November. We hunt out of pit blinds in rice or set aside fields. Your guide will drive you right up to the blind so it's easy access.
We shoot mostly Gadwall, Blue and Green Wing Teal, Scaup, Shoveler, Wigeon, Pintail, Redhead, and the occasional Mallard and Canvasback. We also target Specklebelly and Snow Geese during this season.
Our guides do their best to get the birds in the 'hole' for some great shooting! Louisiana duck hunting has a rich history with some colorful characters, great stories and traditions.
WATERFOWLERS ARE A DIFFERENT BREED OF HUNTER
Duck hunting involves getting up hours before daylight, driving many miles a lot of the time, braving freezing temperatures, rain, sleet, mosquitos, everything, for the excitement and comaraderie of waterfowling, a hunting tradition like no other.
There's nothing like sitting in the duck blind before dawn and listening to the sounds of quacks, wings whistling overhead, and the splash of birds landing. You realize it's about to get Western!
